Every piece of art at BecWood Studio begins with a walk along the beach. I personally collect oyster shells, scallop shells, sand dollars, and other natural treasures from the coast, then transform them into handcrafted artwork designed to bring a little piece of the shoreline into your home.
Inspired by the color and beaches of Cherry Grove in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the coast of Maine, and other places I've explored, every collection reflects the beauty, color, and memories found by the water.
The best treasures aren't always the ones everyone notices.
Each shell is carefully cleaned, prepared, and thoughtfully incorporated into original artwork using techniques including hand painting, decoupage, watercolor illustration, and resin finishes. Because every shell is naturally unique, no two pieces are exactly alike.
Whether it's a colorful oyster shell, a tiny shell on a painted canvas, or a handcrafted wreath, every piece carries a little of the beach with it.
